Effectiveness, Precision,
and Flexibility
In our courses, we use natural language acquisition mechanisms, enabling students to see quick results and communicate in Polish without hesitation. Our teaching methods aim for rapid achievement of effective communication skills and overcoming any speaking barriers.
Our formula combines comprehensive language learning modules, which cover all language skills and standard topics, with shorter specialized packages.
The comprehensive modules, conducted with high intensity and effectiveness, form clear stages of learning. They encourage participation with an imminent end date and motivate through noticeable results. Any breaks between modules should not lead to forgetting the material, thanks to our language mentoring strategy, an integral part of the general course. This strategy helps students gradually achieve greater independence in their language learning.
Complementing the general courses are our short ‘Paths to Perfection’ specialist packages. These allow learners to significantly develop specific skills or vocabulary areas they wish to focus on. The packages can be taken as standalone training services, without the need for the general course.
Combining short general courses with intensive specialist packages creates a flexible teaching system that precisely meets the educational needs of our clients.
Pillars of Our Method
Language Mentoring
‘Languages cannot be taught, they can only be learned.’ This principle guides our work. Learning a foreign language requires active student engagement, but it is crucial that this engagement takes effective forms. We help our clients achieve independence in their learning process, which should increase with their proficiency level. We remember that everyone acquires a foreign language differently, so we consider individual predispositions, preferences, and needs when developing self-study strategies.
Never before has self-learning been so accessible, thanks to countless online materials in various formats – texts, videos, radio, and TV stations, courses, and apps. Consequently, the teacher’s role must evolve from being the sole source of language contact and authority to becoming a guide through the available resources. Our language mentoring offer is a response to this trend.
Practice
We believe that effective communication in a foreign language is a result of habits formed through practice rather than knowledge about the language, such as grammar rules. While understanding language principles is important in adult learning, the goal of language courses is to develop communication skills, not just knowledge. Therefore, we emphasize practice, with language drills and short-term memory training being crucial components of our methods.
Listening Comprehension
Our method places a strong emphasis on listening comprehension training, often underestimated in language courses. Good listening comprehension is fundamental for effective communication, and poor comprehension often leads to anxiety about speaking with native speakers. Interestingly, listening practice accelerates language acquisition more effectively than text exposure.
We make our students aware that Polish uses many different sounds compared to English, and distinguishing seemingly similar phonemes is essential for accurate pronunciation.
Learning Through Pronunciation
Through specially designed pronunciation exercises, we help our clients achieve flexibility in their speech organs and develop the ability to imitate Polish language sounds rather than adapting them to their native language sounds. We also teach proper rhythm, stress, and intonation. Pronunciation exercises are not only engaging but also help to reinforce new vocabulary and grammar structures effectively.
Inspiration and Motivation
Language serves not only for practical communication but also as a powerful tool for personal development and gaining knowledge about the world. We use this fact to include engaging content in our lessons, enhancing their appeal and significantly aiding memory retention through emotional engagement.
Individual Needs
Our instructors continuously monitor the individual difficulties encountered by course participants, such as pronunciation issues or the use of specific grammatical structures. In subsequent lessons, they dedicate time to achieving accuracy in these problematic areas.
Use of English
While teaching Polish, we strive to use as little English as possible, without causing frustration, especially at beginner levels. Therefore, we accept occasional use of English if it aids understanding or quicker assimilation of material. The choice of language for mentoring self-study depends on the client’s proficiency level.
